Start by going to the Workflow section. Once you've added the necessary details, you'll see a screen with various options. Under the "Workflow name" section, you can edit the details of your workflow. You can also choose to save the workflow, save it as a template, or publish it. You can also import a workflow from a template.
Let’s create a basic workflow for better understanding:
- Click on the "Input/Output Category" from the list of actions on the left.
- Look for the "Start" action under the Input/output category and drag and drop it onto the center of the screen.
3. Next, navigate to the "Flow Control" section and select the "Is it a new profile?" option. Drag and drop this action under the start action.
4. Click on the action, and you'll see options to edit or delete it. Choose "Edit" to modify the action's name and view plugin information.
5. Hover over the circle under the start action, and it will change to a "+" icon. Click and drag the line to connect it to the upper circle of the next action. This creates a connection between the two actions.

Note: The second action has two circles, indicating possible true or false outcomes from the previous action.
6. Now, navigate to the "Data Processing" section and click on "Detect Device." Drag and drop this action to the center and connect it to the previous action.

Note: When there are two nodes and one is empty, connect both to the single node of the last action. This ensures that the workflow progresses regardless of the outcome.
7. Click on "Edit Device" to access three tabs:
- Info: Provides information about the plugin.
- Config Editor: Set the path to user agent data (e.g., context.browser.browser.userAgent).
- JSON Config: Plugin configuration using JSON data. Use this carefully, as all input is converted into JSON.
8. In the "SMS" section, drag and drop the "Send Email" action. Click on "Edit" for three tabs:
- Info: Displays information about the plugin.
- Config Editor: Configure plugin details, including Token Resource, Sender email, Recipient email, Subject, and Message content. It has plug-in configurations where you have to fill in the details:
- Token Resource: Please select your token resource that contains your API key. If the list is empty (not loading) you need to add a connector click here. Remember to select the connector tagged: SendGrid. For editing the source go to the Connector page
- Sender email: Provide the email address from which you want to send emails from. It has to end with a domain that is correctly registered and verified with a SendGrid account.
- Message recipient's email: Provide the path to the email address of the recipient or the mail itself.
- Message subject: Subject of the message to be sent via mail
- Message content: This field contains the body of your message. It can be either text or HTML content. You can use templates in both HTML and text.

Example: If you type ‘ Hello, {{profile@pii.name}}!’ it will result in calling the customer by their name in the message text.

9. Finally, add the "
End" action from the
Input/Output section to mark an end to the workflow.
